Front Bumper Mask C6 – FBM600 Installation Instructions:Step #1 : Clean the bumper and surfaces under the car and inside the fender wells with tar and grease remover. Step #2: Remove four retaining pins that attach the fender liner to the front bumper. [Note:The retaining pin is a male/female assembly. The male piece can be pried loose from the female piece using a flat blade screwdriver. Insert the blade of the screwdriver in the slot at the edge of the pin and twist the screwdriver causing the pin to come free of the female piece. After removing the male piece. The female piece can be removed. ] Step #3: Install the snap assembly that came with the FBM. First install a U-clip at each of the four holes in the bumper. [The U-clip is designed to go around the edge of the fiberglass and serves as the nut for the snap head screw that you will be installing.]. Position the fender liner aligning the holes in the liner with the holes in the bumper. Now install the four (4) snap head screw assemblies. [Note: The snap-head screw assembly consists of a flat washer, a snap-head screw and a U clip] Align the fender liner and bumper and tighten the screws. Repeat steps #2 & #3 for the other side of the car. Step #4 :Attach the top two snaps on one end of the FBM to the inside of the fender. Stretch the FBM across the front of the bumper laying the top of the cover (the top has the two plastic retainer clips) in the hood opening. Now attach all four snaps on the other end of the mask to the inside of the fender. Step #5: Pull the bottom of the mask under the front bumper. Finish installing the other two snaps on the other end of the FBM Step #6 : Anchor the top of the mask inside the engine compartment. Attach the two plastic clips to the ½” hose that runs along the back edge of the radiator. Step #7: Attach the 3m interlocking adhesive strip to the underside of the bumper. Clean the area first with the alcohol patch. Locate the strip to align and mate with the Velcro strip on the bottom edge of the mask. Run the strip from front to back. |
